Tool Name: Breakup
Author: Adspec Programming
Last Revision: Dec 17, 1993;
______________________________________________________________
PURPOSE: To subdivide selected polys into triangles.
______________________________________________________________
RESTRICTIONS:
None.
Will not operate on some special objects.
______________________________________________________________
USE:
This tool can be used with either a LEFT MOUSE BUTTON
which uses the stored defaults or with the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON
to change the defaults before use.
Groups 1 through 5 will be kept the same as the original
groups if delete original is selected. If not, new groups will
be created for the breakup polys so you can select them separately.
______________________________________________________________
TO CHANGE DEFAULTS:
1: Click the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON on the tool's gadget.
2: Edit the options as desired:
There is only one option, the delete originals option.
If you have this gadget depressed, the original polygons
will be deleted.
If you do not have this gadget depressed, the original
polygons will be left in place.
NOTE that it is impossible to see the originals, since the
new triangles overlay them precisely. You must
jump them to a new space, move them, or delete them before
rendering.
If you select the PERFORM gadget, any selected polys will be subdivided
using the defaults. If you select the ACCEPT gadget, the new defaults
will be saved for future use. If you select the CANCEL gadget,
the window closes with no changes saved.
______________________________________________________________
FOR USE WITH STORED DEFAULTS:
1: Select any polys you wish to breakup.
2: Click the LEFT MOUSE BUTTON on the tool.
After a few moments, you will see the new triangle polys.
Remember, if you do not delete the originals, the originals are
still there!
